Speaker Info: Drs. George & Jeannette Birnbach have been working in clinical nutrition and chiropractic for over a decade. In this time they have built four highly successful clinics, and have personally trained hundreds of clinicians to the highest level of practice.
Details: Most of our patients come to us in a state of accelerated aging that manifests differently for each person. Some will have deterioration of the joints and muscles; some will have chronic digestive issues and infections; and some will have brain fog and hormonal imbalances. The over-40 patient seeks out alternative health care when he or she notices declining function in body, brain, fitness, and other aspects of health. The plan of action for the clinician involves determining the stresses on the body, the correction of those stresses, and then maintenance of the gains into the future. Most patients have backward momentum going when they come to us, even though their blood work is “normal.”
The seminar covers four main aspects of nutritional support for the over-40 male and female patient. In Part I we will review the impact of inflammation on general health and the aging process, including the role of chronic infections and weak immune system. In part II we will review the role of dysglycemia in most chronic health conditions and accelerated aging. This section also looks at specific health complaints that we commonly hear from the over-40 patient, including chronic immune challenges, urinary issues, and poor sleep. Improving gut function is nearly a universal component of wholistic health care programs and so we cover Leaky Gut Syndrome and Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth in Section III. And finally we take an in-depth look at fatigue and chronic fatigue in all its manifestations including brain fog and mitochondrial dysfunction.
No matter how much knowledge you have, you must be able to communicate your message to your patients. Throughout the seminar we will include strategies for communication and compliance to improve clinical outcomes.
